Learn about Podcasting
What is Podcasting?
With podcasting, audio and video programs can be downloaded over the Internet for playback onto portable digital media devices like MP3 players and personal computers. Podcasting allows you to listen to the downloaded contents the same way you'd listen to a recorded radio program. To receive your favorite shows by podcasting, you need to subscribe to Internet radio, TV or other programs with special software. You'll then get the most recent episode of each program stored in your PC, automatically downloaded by the software. You can transfer the episode to your portable digital media devices. This will allow you to listen to an epsiode of your choice when you want and where you want, like on the train commuting to and from your workplace.
How to listen to Podcasting
To enjoy podcasts, you need to have an Internet connection and an application that specializes in receiving digital media (e.g. iTunes). After downloading the special application and subscribing to the program, you can receive each new episode. You can listen to episodes later if you transfer the episode to your portable digital media player.
If you have iTunes
The registration is completed if you drag and drop the button icon onto the podcast screen in iTunes. You can enjoy your favorite episodes whenever you want if you transfer it to your portable digital media player.
