Renowned architect Kengo Kuma has designed projects not only in Japan, but also in the United States, Europe, Asia and other parts of the world. He is known for unique designs that reinterpret traditional Japanese aesthetics, and aim to re-balance the relationship between humanity and the environment. In this program, Kuma describes his architectural philosophy based on five essential principles of Hole, Particles, Softness, Oblique and Time, revealing them in his distinctive projects around the world, including "TOYAMA Kirari" and "Takanawa Gateway Station," that are presented with dramatic drone footage. We will also introduce the Tokyo exhibition "KUMA KENGO: FIVE PURR-FECT POINTS FOR A NEW PUBLIC SPACE," that reinterprets the urban environment from the perspective of cats.
