Stopping Discrimination Against Women's Bodies: Bak Seulgi / Obstetrician-Gynecologist

South Korean gynecologist Bak Seulgi addresses biases held in the country against women's bodies, speaking at schools and events in order to spread accurate information and protect women's health.

In 2017, Bak formed an organization with a human rights activist friend in order to hold discussion events on formerly taboo subjects concerning women's bodies, such as menstruation and abortion
As word of Bak's activism spread, she gained the opportunity to speak with high school students about menstruation, and became aware of discriminatory remarks made by instructors
Bak gives instruction so that support staff for survivors of sexual violence can better understand the subject of abortion
