Authorities have launched a website where people can peruse job openings and enter details about the type of work they’re seeking, as well as the area where they want to work. Prefectural officials can then match them with suitable positions.
The prefecture says that in particular, welfare facilities in heavily damaged parts of Wajima City, Suzu City, Nanao City, Anamizu Town, Noto Town, and Shika Town have been shorthanded since the quake, which forced many workers to evacuate to other areas.
