Nomura Sonoka is a producer stationed in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture in northeastern Japan.
Having joined NHK in 2019, she reported on the recovery from the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.
She is also interested in sports, especially college sports including lacrosse, American football and many more.
