Obuse, Nagano Prefecture is a small town with a population of 11,000 that is currently at the center of attention. Last September, it hosted Asia's first ever Slackline World Cup with 25 competitors from 9 countries. Despite the small scale, the World Cup, which was organized solely by the local people, attracted over 30,000 spectators. In this episode, we'll be closely following Mr. Hayashi, a Slackline athlete who aims to popularize this sport in Japan and across Asia, and his endeavor to host the second Slackline World Cup. Along with the beautiful scenery of Nagano's four seasons, we'll also be featuring the activities of Sukoh Cable Television that brings information to and connects people in 3 municipalities of Suzaka City, Obuse Town and Takayama Village in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture.
