Many businesses are being founded that use space data to help improve life here on earth. One is a "land search" firm that uses detailed weather data from earth observation satellites. For example, a farming company looking for land suitable for a certain crop could employ the firm to visualize risks like high and low temperatures, rainfall and snowfall and more to find a low-risk area within a square kilometer of accuracy.
A community of women interested in space, launched by a Tokyo company that supports women's entrepreneurship and social advancement. It was founded to encourage women to participate in space business. A plan to launch a satellite is underway in the community.
