"Deadline" talks about the way to school of three pairs of students in Phan Rang, Phan Thiet and Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. Each student has their own situation, facing different "deadline" and different living burdens. However, they all have one thing in common: their passion for learning and the desire to go to school.

Nguyen Nhat Duy graduated film director from Hanoi Academy of Theatre And Cinema in 2008.
From 2009, he started writing script for feature film and TV series. One of his script “Hiep si mu” (Blind Fury) come to cinema. 2012, He took in charge of Documentary Department for Audio Visual Global JSC (AVG). He also nominated for ABU TV Documentary at that time with the film named: Life In The Red Bag. 2014 Duy directed his first TV series (40 episodes) by his script for HTV7 channel, which named “Mot Thoi Ngang Doc” (Once of our youth) - an action/drama movie. 2016 Duy won the special ABU prize with the film name “Way to school” for VTV7. Now he’s working on the documentary film named My Floating Castle that won the Best Pitch Award on Tokyo Docs’s Colors of Asia project 2017.
