Fried Chicken with Leek Sauce
- Ingredients (Serves 4)
- *2 chicken thighs
*1/2 tbsp soy sauce
*1/2 tbsp sake
*1/2 cup / 100 ml soy sauce
*1 tbsp sake
*1 1/2 tbsp sugar
*2 tbsp vinegar
*1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
*1 chopped red chili pepper
1 Pierce the chicken with a fork so it'll better absorb the seasoning.
2 The seasoning is nothing more than soy sauce and sake.
Make sure the seasoning seeps well into the chicken.
3 Coat the chicken with the potato starch.
4 Deep-fry in oil at 180 degrees.
For crispier chicken, make sure to raise it from the oil from time to time.
5 Now let's review how to prepare the leek sauce.
Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and sake in a bowl.
6 Lightly fry the chopped leek in some heated oil.
Add the combined seasonings and red chili pepper to complete the sauce.
7 Cut the fried chicken into bite-size pieces, and pour on the leek sauce.
