Miki Yakata, a former member of an all-girl Japanese idol group, was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 25, and underwent surgery to remove her left breast. Since May 2018, she's kept a video diary to record her struggles with the side effects of chemotherapy, such as exhaustion, hair loss, and nails changing color. Offering insight on the various issues cancer patients face, Miki's video journal is also a window into her daily efforts to balance her career and treatment.
