International Flower Expo Tokyo
Just about everyone loves flowers, and here in Japan, the floral industry is big business. While the country imports a large volume of flowers, domestically grown products are also on the rise. To find out more about this growing industry, join Tomoko Hayakawa as she reports from Flower Expo Tokyo for this week's "On Site" report.
Wood that's Easy on the Ear
In this week's "Gadgets" segment, we bring you a look at a very special pair of headphones. But one thing you don't see very often is a pair of headphones made almost entirely from wood, but that's exactly what these are.
The word "origami" is quite literal. "Ori" comes from the verb "to fold" and "gami" is a form of the word for paper. In this "Special Report," we'll look at something called "Oriami." "Ami" comes from the word for weaving, and indeed this is a new take on the classic art of folding paper using woven metal originally for industrial use.
