Ukraine - The Children's Inner Battle: Oksana Lebedeva / Founder of Gen.Ukrainian
The founder of a Ukrainian NGO describes its efforts to bring together children who are hesitant to talk about their traumatic war experiences in order to help them heal their mental scars.
Oksana was originally an apparel business owner. Witnessing the tragedy in Bucha led her to launch this project.
Oksana says that literature, such as the story of the orphaned Harry Potter, can be very useful for helping traumatized children to recount their past.
Regarding the emotional scars suffered in war, even adult Ukrainians hesitate to speak out. Oksana also wants to change that situation.
