Japan-based music producer Maydenfield wanders about various locations in Japan, sampling the ambient sounds of nature, culture and daily life. The Tsubame-Sanjo area is famed for its craftsmanship in producing knives, cutlery, kitchenware and other metalware. Inspired by conversations with local residents, Maydenfield mixes the clamor of beating, grinding, polishing and pressing with other ambient sounds he has collected, to create a song that captures the essence of this world of metalware.
