After the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, on August 15, 2021, filmmaker Inoue Haruo began tracking down people he knew there. Inoue has spent some 20 years interacting with filmmakers and activists in Afghanistan, and feared for their safety. Through the use of archival footage and emotional interviews, this film portrays the plight of advocates for freedom and democracy under the newly reinstated Taliban regime as they face an uncertain future.
