Tarako Dishes in Japan
In "WHAT'S YOUR CONNECTION?" we answer questions about Japan from our listeners. In this installment, we respond to a question from Lee Kyung-ju, a woman living in Seoul, South Korea. She says a tarako rice ball that she ate in Japan was very delicious, and that she very much wants to learn how to make it. She would also like to know about other tarako dishes. Tarako is salted Alaska pollack roe. The fish belongs to the same family as codfish.
