Reading Japan - Come Dance with Me: Part 1
Reading Japan is a story-telling program featuring short stories from Japan. This time, we’ll introduce "Come Dance with Me: Part 1" by Onda Riku. A girl in a black dress is standing by herself at a party when another girl with otherworldly eyes suddenly asks her to dance with her. The abrupt invitation takes her by surprise, but they dance together in the light that spills into the corridor and become friends. The girl with otherworldly eyes grows up to become a choreographer who works around the world. The other girl, who went on to become a newspaper reporter, has a burning question: "Why did she ask me to dance at that party?" (Come Dance with Me, Shinchosha)
