In recent decades, the Japanese government has taken steps to restore the culture of indigenous Ainu people, after a history of oppression. A similar history unfolded earlier with the indigenous people of Taiwan. This report spotlights one Taiwanese woman living in Japan who aims to connect these two indigenous worlds.
