Traditional castles are major tourist attractions in Japan, drawing domestic as well as overseas visitors. However, climbing to the top is often challenging, as the structures are essentially military facilities designed to prevent invasions. This report highlights a project by university students in western Japan that makes castles accessible to everyone.
