Okinawa Children Perform Play for Peace

Seventy-eight years ago, a final chapter of World War Two unfolded on Okinawa island in southern Japan. Fierce fighting in the 1945 Battle of Okinawa claimed over 200,000 lives, including many civilians. This report casts a spotlight on children in Okinawa who are now learning about this conflict, against a backdrop of the ongoing war in Ukraine - by staging a school play.
