Expert: Kishida's Western Tour Kicked off 'Year of Diplomacy'

Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio is meeting with US President Joe Biden in Washington, the last stop on a week-long tour of five western powers. Much of the trip has focused on defense, but the significance of Kishida's trip may go beyond security. NHK World's Kurabayashi Tomoko spoke with Hikotani Takako a Professor at Tokyo's Gakushuin University International Centre.
