Hills of Ibaraki turn blue

At Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, the hill is aglow with vibrant blue nemophila flowers, native to North America and known as baby blue eyes. Around 5.3 million of the flowers cover a 4.2-hectare hill. This breathtaking scene has become a seasonal tradition, painting the entire hill in shades of blue. From the park, visitors can also enjoy a view of the Pacific Ocean, where the blues of the sea, sky, and nemophila create a delightful spring scene.
