Plum blossoms at Kyoto's Kitano Tenmangu Shrine

The picturesque grounds of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto, are renowned for their plum blossom, courtesy of around 1,500 plum trees of 50 different species. Up close, the red and white flowers emit a sweet scent. The peak viewing time will last until mid-March.
