Early-blooming cherry trees

An early-blooming variety of cherry-blossom tree has brought a flush of pink to Shikoku Island's Kagawa Prefecture. The Sanuki Kanzakura trees bring a hint of spring despite the chill in the air. The blossoms attract photographers and Japanese mejiro white-eye birds that enjoy the nectar provided by the flowers.
