Autumn foliage in Oashi Gorge

Brilliant autumn leaves drift down a clear stream flowing through the mountains of Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture. Visitors can reach the Oashi Gorge — now lined with bright red, yellow and green trees — in about an hour by car from Utsunomiya City, the prefectural capital.
