Autumn in the Nagatoro valley

The Arakawa River courses through Nagatoro Town in the Chichibu region of Saitama Prefecture. At this time of year it draws many visitors with its autumn foliage, which is best viewed from a boat. The oak and Japanese maple trees lining the riverbanks start to display their colors in early November.
