Kumamoto paddies ablaze with red spider lilies

With the arrival of fall, the terraced rice paddies at "Bansho no Tanada" in Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture, are ablaze with red spider lilies. The location has been selected as one of the Top 100 Terraced Paddy Fields in Japan by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as part of a drive to promote the conservation of rice paddies.
