Nowhere does purple like Kyoto

Drive about an hour and a half north of central Kyoto in summer, and this chrysanthemum garden will be hard to miss. The flowers are called "Kitayama Yuzengiku," and thanks to the work of one local man, they complement the traditional houses with a beautiful pop of color.
