Tokushima Awa Odori draws large crowds

Spectators and dancers gathered in Tokushima to take part in the opening day of Awa Odori, a summer festival said to date back more than 400 years. Audience seating was limited to about 75% capacity last year due to coronavirus restrictions, but the event is now back in full swing.
