Sunflowers carpet lowlands of Okayama
Visitors to the reclaimed lowlands of Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture, can now catch 700,000 sunflowers in full bloom. Sunflowers have been a summer attraction at Kasaoka Bay Farm roadside station for 12 years. The seeds are sown on a staggered schedule across the 11-hectare property, ensuring there is always a thick carpet of yellow on view.
The best time to see them is from late July to late August.
