Orchestra of 2000 wind bells, Shiga

Thousands of glass wind bells decorate about 50 meters of the approach to the main hall of Saikyo-ji Temple in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It's said the delicate chimes can avert calamities and bring good fortune. Monks have hand-tinted each bell in one of eight colors. Visitors can enjoy the breezy orchestra until mid-September. The scene will light up at night from July 29 to September 3.
