A shower of wisteria
Every year around this time, about 350 wisteria trees bloom light purple and white in Tochigi Prefecture's Ashikaga Flower Park. The 160-year-old trees are supported by a trellis that stretches for 2,000 square meters, with an estimated 160,000 bunches of flowers that waft a sweet aroma through the air. At night, when the park is lit up, the sight is even more stunning.
