'Baby blue eyes' color the seaside

More than five million nemophila plants, also known as baby blue eyes, cover a 4.2 hectare hill at the Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The annual has sky-blue flowers about 3cm in diameter that make for a spectacular scene when planted en masse.
According to the park management center, the flowers will fully bloom around April 15 and can be enjoyed until the end of the month.
