Yamagata cherry blossoms in full bloom

Kajo Park, built on the ruins of Yamagata Castle, is home to about 1,500 cherry trees and one of Yamagata City's most famous blossom viewing spots.
The video was taken on April 6, a day after the Yamagata Meteorological Observatory announced the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. This year they blossomed 13 days earlier than usual. The bright pink and white flowers create a stunning contrast with the castle’s stone walls and their reflection shimmers on the moat.
