Cherry blossoms adorn a yellow flower carpet

Shirakimine Plateau is located at an altitude of about 350 meters on Gokaharadake mountain in Kyushu. About 100,000 rapeseed blossoms carpet the plateau in spring, creating a breathtaking contrast with the blooming cherry trees.

The plateau is also famous for its vivid scenery in autumn, when around 200,000 cosmos bloom in a rich variety of colors.
