Plum blossoms dripping in the scent of spring

Weeping plum blossoms burst into full bloom in the warmth of early spring and can usually be viewed for most of March. The half-florescent plum blossoms are a seasonal attraction across Japan.

Mimuroto Temple in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture—already famous for its hydrangeas and azaleas—carved out a plum garden on its grounds in a mountain forest. This is the second year the garden of 250 weeping plum trees has been open to the public.
