Strawberry extravaganza in Shiga

Something sweet is happening in Ryuo Town, Shiga Prefecture.
Strawberries are thriving, and a newly opened farm is letting visitors try the crop. Seven varieties of strawberry are being grown, and fruit fans can tour the greenhouses to spot the difference with a taste test.

The farm is being developed by several farmers in Ryuo Town using prefectural land. Eventually, it's expected to be about 19,000 square meters in size. Visitors can enjoy strawberry picking until around May.
