Mochi-pounding contest returns to Kagawa temple

The New Year "mochi-tsuki" contest was held at Tokujoji Temple in Kagawa Prefecture. Twenty people used stone mills and beetles to pound the mochi, which was then filled with red bean paste and enjoyed by all. The event was held for the first time in four years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
