Bringing winter bustle

Soginotaki Park in Isa City, Kagoshima Prefecture, is home to the widest waterfall in Japan, at 210 meters. The park has been blanketed in lights and decorations for the first time this winter in an attempt to draw tourists and locals in the off-season. A total of 500,000 LED bulbs light up features such as snowmen, Santa figures, characters popular with children, and rabbits -- the Chinese zodiac animal for 2023. The park will continue to be a winter wonderland from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day until February 15.
