Winter light show adds magic to Hokkaido pond

Famous for its azure hue in the warmer months, Biei Town's Blue Pond in Hokkaido is popular with sightseers and locals alike. In winter, the body of water takes on an entirely different appearance, covered in ice and a layer of snow that provides a backdrop for a magical light show. This winter spectacle takes place from November to April.
