2.4km row of metasequoia turns brownish yellow

About 500 metasequoia trees line a prefectural road in the Makino area of Takashima City in Shiga Prefecture. The trees were planted 41 years ago to protect the surrounding chestnut gardens from the wind. It has become a popular tourist spot in autumn, with the towering trees seeming to reach for the sky.
