Ancient flowering tree in two-tone display

A century-old crape myrtle tree blossoms spectacularly at the temple of Raikyoji. Crape myrtles flower for a long time, from early summer to early autumn. They generally bloom in red or white, but to the delight of visitors, this tree appears to blossom in both hues. The temple is situated in the central Japan city of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.
