Nebuta Festival returns after pandemic hiatus

The Aomori Nebuta Festival is a major summer event in northern Japan's Aomori Prefecture, and one of the highlights of the festival months in the Tohoku region. It is famous for the giant and colorful floats that are pushed around town by groups of participants as dancers spur them on with chants.
