Ongoing free pet care

The Ishikawa Veterinary Medical Association is continuing with free medical care for pets in areas damaged by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

The free care will be offered at the following places and days in March:
・Noto Town, March 24
・Wajima City, March 28
・Suzu City, March 31

Since late January, the association has been dispatching veterinarians to the affected areas several times a month.

At a clinic set up at a Suzu City library on March 17, veterinarians examined dogs and cats and prescribed medicine. One woman who brought her cat said, "The road conditions are still bad, and it takes an hour and a half to go to the veterinary hospital I used to visit, so I am very grateful."

Veterinarians provide free medical care in Suzu City.
