School students band together after Ishikawa quake

High schoolers in Anamizu Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, have been forced to use classrooms in the nearby junior high school building after their own were damaged in the Noto Peninsula earthquake. To repay the favor, they're giving up their time to tutor their younger peers.

On February 21, after classes finished for the day, a group of Anamizu High School students stayed behind to help third graders in English and math.

Teachers at Anamizu Junior High School say the younger students are suffering from anxiety due to the quake and upcoming high school entrance exams, but the guidance they're getting from the older students is putting them at ease.
