Imamura Keiichi joined NHK in 1984. In the 1990s, he covered the international economy from Tokyo and New York as a business correspondent. Later, he was stationed in New York as the Director General of NHK General Bureau for Americas, and in Paris as the Director General of NHK General Bureau for Europe.
