Watanabe Shin is a correspondent covering Japanese politics, with a particular focus on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He started his career with NHK in Kushiro, Hokkaido, in 2004, going on to work in Sakhalin, Russia. He has also lived in Moscow and Uzbekistan and speaks Russian.
