Watanabe Kosuke has been a correspondent in NHK's Washington Bureau since July 2021, covering US diplomacy and security. Previously, he was stationed in Paris and Moscow, and reported on Russia's annexation of Crimea and the war in Ukraine. Watanabe joined NHK in 2002.
