Sato Kakeru is an NHK reporter currently stationed in Aizuwakamatsu city, Fukushima prefecture. He covers the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 and disaster prevention, especially how the disaster is dealt with in the field of education. He was born and raised in Fukushima city. Following his experience of the earthquake, Sato qualified as a disaster prevention expert.
