Goto Takehiko is currently based in Yamagata Prefecture, northern Japan. He covers a wide variety of social topics such as Japan's aging society and the labor shortage. He has been focusing on the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake since he was stationed in NHK's Sendai bureau.
