Nochi Haruka is based in Tokyo and is interested in international human rights issues. She joined NHK in 2012, and has been stationed in Oita and Nagasaki prefectures, where she covered the Kumamoto earthquake in 2016 and reported on issues relating to Nagasaki atomic bomb survivors.
